There must be an age when children start to notice things about their body or how their body might be different from others. Brennan must have reached this age. This past month he has asked me two separate questions that made me realize how much he must be noticing things.

Tonight was one of those nights. He came into the kitchen while I was cooking dinner, and said, "Mommy, what are these two lines" (he's pointing to the scar on his chest/side). I said, "Bren, those lines are where the doctors fixed your heart when you were a baby". He looked down again and seeming satisfied with my answer walked away. I know he will have many more questions someday...
